Dr. Mario on Flickr.
My costume for Halloween 2008: Dr. Mario, complete with a set of three abnormally large pills.
The nametag was a last minute addition, as the only labcoat I could find in my size had a big “MORGUE CORONER” patch on the chest.
Our office had a costume contest that day, but unfortunately: not only did we have two other doctors.. but they were our founder and our VP. True, they were just doctors, not doctors Mario.. but still.
One of my favorite jack-o-lanterns, a big scary jack-o-lanterns about to swallow a little dude whole.
Sadly, the big dude didn’t last long outside my door. Carving that mouth weakened the wall and it collapsed within days, but the effect was awesome. I especially liked how the li’l pumpkin worked as a de facto candle-holder.

OM NOM NOM on Flickr.
Apparently, Domo-kun is the new face of Halloween at target.
When full, this display looks like Domo is gobbling up all the halloween candy. When empty, as it is here.. it looks like Domo will eat you and all you hold dear.
Pumpy, the office jack-o-lantern on Flickr.
This year, I bought a small decorative pumpkin (around the size of a large orange) and kept in on my desk all October. A few days before Halloween, I popped into the break room and carved him into this: The happiest little pumpkin in the world.
His name is Pumpy.

Graham’s team won this severed head in the office pumpkin carving contest this halloween. Why the prize was a gigantic spike with a latex head on it, I’ll never know.
Once the novelty of a decapitated head on a pike peeking over a cubicle wall wore off, people began taking turns adding to it. First were my sunglasses, then a pair of graham’s. An ipod nano in one of those ipoddy-armbands was placed around the spike (w/ earbuds that, unfortunately, did not fit). Someone stuck my peep on the top of his spike once; when he fell off, I placed him on the scalp of the head, as high as i could reach.
Last week, brian added the wool cap and ski goggles you see here. Tonight, I stuck on my new headphones (which fit a lot better than those earbuds)
